Bits and pieces

This work started out with a really big old plate. There were already some great textures on them, so I decided to cut it up and make several projects and compositions with them. The serrated edges were created by dividing the plate up in pieces with varnish, so the acid would burn the plate into smaller pieces. Most of the structure and lines are from the acid biting through the varnish. I spent a long time on this project and had great fun creating the different compositions.

The large plate measures 46 cm x 46 cm and was printed on paper of 57 cm x 56 cm. You can estinmate the size of the other peices and compositions by finding the pieces in the larger puzzle.
